JMJ is authorized by the States of Florida and Georgia to offer engineering services through a Professional Engineer and maintains current Certificates of Authorization.  As the qualifying Professional Engineer, Jerry Pionessa Jr. is licensed in the States of Florida and Georgia and maintains a national registration through NCEES.  He has a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida and has over 5 years experience in design and construction of civil infrastructure.  JMJ uses the latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3D and is capable of accessing, reviewing, and producing final drawings in most any standard industry format including .dxf and .dwg.

Collectively, JMJ’s professional staff has over 50 years of experience, providing engineering and construction related services. JMJ’s experience is based in the engineering and design of streets, drainage, water distribution, sanitary collection, and site development; in construction and design of solutions for concrete, sawing and drilling, custom brickwork, demolition, masonry, historic renovation, structural repair, scaffolding and shoring.  JMJ offers solutions for residential, commercial, municipal, and military projects in Florida and Georgia.

JMJ has successfully completed Feasibility Studies, prepared Tree Preservation Plans, Grading and Erosion Control Plans, NPDES NOIs and SWPPPs, and Drainage Studies and Reports for review and approval by agencies having jurisdictional authority. Not only is JMJ familiar with local ordinances, codes, and standards, but our associates also have over twenty five (25) years of experience working with State and Federal Agencies in code compliance, construction, and permitting. 

JMJ has been instrumental in providing functional drainage designs, studies, and reports for vital improvements within restricted basins, flood ways and flood plains. Site specific drainage improvements have included large commercial and residential subdivisions and planning areas as large as 500 acres.  Jerry Pionessa Jr. has multiple project experience with underground storage and treatment systems and used them on a commercial building in Jacksonville, FL certified LEED Silver by the US Green Building Council.
